How is this week half over?

I have been going to the gym very early in the morning for three weeks now and while this is very good for my cardiovascular system and will eventually help the fat cells in my body to shrink, shrink, shrink, in the meantime it is making me exhausted by the kids’ nap time. Thus, I give you pictures. Enjoy them. I am going to sleep (instead of entertaining you, cleaning the house, or making supper) because it just feels right.

You would think he could fall asleep in the car. Not so much.

A brief moment of non-sleep. She, on the other hand, has no problem nodding off.

How they did not fall asleep is the real question. Not a ton to look at. Oh sweet! A bridge!

Once we got there, he had a great time.

Nothing says 'glad to be home' like a picnic on our front lawn

  1. Yes, you should sleep if it feels right, all those other things can wait. I admire you for being able to get to the gym when you’re not sleeping thru the night. I can’t do early mornings even when I don’t have a new baby!

Jesse stopped sleeping in the car long before Gideon’s age. the girls are a little more normal but still are not big car sleepers. some kids just aren’t, I guess. sometimes that pays off (ok, I don’t actually have an example of how that pays off, but I’m guessing there’s something good about it somewhere).

And that’s your front lawn? it’s so GREEN! grass like that is non-existant at 9,000 feet, so I’m a lil’ jealous. I’ll have to post a photo of our lawn sometime. At least we have one!
