We are leaving this morning on our first road trip with only Piper. Gideon is staying with Grandma and Poppy and is pretty much guaranteed a fun weekend. We will choke back missing him as we celebrate my insanely talented, histarically funny and beautiful friend Allison and Dan, her super intelligent, lean, mean husband machine.

Not to be overly technical, but I believe the official mom designation may have come slightly earlier; although I am still arguing that case because my pants are nowhere near my belly button, do not taper dramatically from billowy in the thigh to at the tight ankle, nor do they bear the Lee brand name. I think I have a very valid case.
